Christmas 2008

Christmas Eve, we went to Bryan's Grandma's and had dinner and white Elephant with family.
Christmas Morning, Bryan's Mother and his Sister Came over to our place and spent time together as a family.

Before we opened up presents, Daddy(Bryan) talked about Birth of Jesus Christ.

We had "Sukiyaki"for lunch!! It is Japanese food and it was sooooo good.

Aunt Jennifer bought some puzzles and we enjoyed it.

Emily,Daniel,Kota did 100 pieces of puzzles.

Bryan, Jennifer and I did 500 pieces. (this 500 pieces puzzles was tough and it took long time to finish)

クリスマスイブは毎年恒例で、ブライアンのおばあちゃんの家に他の家族も集まってきて一緒に夕食をし、それからホワイトエレファントというプレゼント交換をしました。

クリスマスの朝はブライアンの母と妹のジェニファーが我が家に来て一緒に家族の時間をすごしました。プレゼントを開ける前にブライアンがイエスキリストの誕生について話してくれました。（子供たちは一応、聞いていた）

お昼ご飯は”すき焼き”をしました！！とっても久しぶりに食べてすーごっくおいしかった。（自己満足）

ジェニファーがいくつかパズルを買って持ってきてくれたのでみんなでしました。

子供たちは１００ピースのパズルをし、大人は５００ピースのをしました。

５００ピースのは完成するまでに結構時間がかかりました。

平凡な、でも幸せな家族のひと時を過ごせたクリスマスでした。

メリークリスマス！そしてよいお年をおむかえください。

Winter Sing 2008

Daniel's school held a Christmas chorus.
kindergarten students sang 4songs.

They did really good job for singing and performance.

I'm Three !!

It was a Kota's birthday today and he tuned three. We celebrated his birthday as a family.

今日はこうたの誕生日で、3歳になりました。今回は家族だけでお祝いをしました。

Kids gave us a Dance show night.(they planned everything about dance show all by them self)

Daniel played keyboard and sang his original song.

Emily and Kota danced with music.

It was pretty fun and funny. We are glad to have such a fun kids.

Thanksgiving

Thursday, we had a dinner with family at Bryan's Grandma's house.
Bryan's Dad was there with his family.
Our kids had fun with Grandpa and Grandma and especially their cousin Deandre.
Deandre is same age as Daniel, so we invite Deandre to spent the night with them.
They had a party that night.
It was way too much fun.......they went to sleep after 10:30pm.
They played v-smile. Vスマイルというテレビゲームで遊んでいるところ。

We went to the park next morning.　次の日の午前中公園に行って遊びました。

木曜日は感謝祭で家族や親戚が集まってみんなで一緒に食事をしました。コロラドからおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんの家族もやってきてにぎやかでした。

子供たちはいとこのディアンドレーと久しぶりに会えて大喜び。夜、ディアンドレーを我が家に招待して一晩一緒にすごしました。

Wonderful night

We had a wonderful night with Brother and sister Totten.
They just came home from their 3rd mission and they are traveling around to see their family and friends.
All of us worked in Tokyo South mission as a missionary about 9yers ago.
Luckily they choose to came to visit us!!
We love them so much because they are such a good example to us and they have such a great friendship.
They took us to the dinner.(It was great)
Bryan and I always talking about our future and we want to be like them when we grow up.
I hope that they will continue to have a wonderful trip.
Thank you for coming to see us.

トッテンご夫婦と素敵な夜を過ごしました。

彼らは教会の宣教師として3度目の伝道から帰ってきたばかりです。伝道中しばらく会えなかった家族や友達に会う旅をしているところだそうです。

彼らと私たちは9年ぐらい前に東京（東京南伝道部）で同じ時期に宣教師としてともに奉仕していました。

幸運にも彼らは私たち家族の所にも会いにきてくれました！！

そして、夕食に連れて行ってくれました。（やさしい）

トッテン夫婦は私たちにとってすばらしい模範であり、友情の厚い人たちであり、私たちの大好きな尊敬する人たちです。

私たちも歳をとったら彼らのようになりたいねーといつも話しています。

今後もしばらく旅を続けるそうなので、気をつけて安全であるように願っています。

ほんとに、我が家に来てくださってありがとうございました。とても嬉しかったし楽しかったです。

Surprise from Daniel

November 3rd was my Birthday.

Daniel gave me a present which was surprised me a lot.

He danced for me.

ダニエルがサプライズで誕生日プレゼントをくれました。（ダンスをしてくれたのです。）

ちょっとおかしかったけど、とても上手に踊ってくれたので、皆さんにもお披露目したいと思います。

Happy Halloween!!

It's Halloween again!!
Daniel was a racoon, Emily was sleeping beauty, Kota was Spiderman.
We participated our Ward Halloween dinner and then we did trick or treating around our neighbors.
Kids had loads of fun and candies!!!

今年もハロウィーンがやってきました。

ダニエルは狸、えみりはスリーピングビューティーのプリンセス、こうたはスパイダーマンでした。

今回も去年と同じくワードのハロウィーンディナーに参加してから近所の家を順番にまわってキャンディーをたくさん集めました。

子供たちは大満足！でした。みんな頑張ってたくさん歩いたね。

Emily and Zoo

Our friend invited us to go to the Phoenix Zoo.
We were so excited to go there with them.
But then.....things were happened that I got call from Daniel's school because Daniel got sick and throw up at his classroom. I had to go pick him up and stay home with him.
So, kindly our friend took Emily to go to the zoo.
She packed up her lunch and said "I'll go and have fun with my friends!!"
Kota couldn't go without me, so he stayed with us at home.

Emily had a chance to touch sting ray.

She had loads of fun!! and then she asked me to take her to the zoo again and again...

Well, I'm glad that she had so much fun.

近所に住む友達が一緒にフィニックス動物園に行こうと誘ってくれました。

とても楽しみにしていたのですが、その日の朝ダニエルの学校から電話があり、教室で嘔吐をしたとのことでダニエルを迎えに行き、一日家でいることになってしまいました。

それでも、親切なことに友達がえみりを一緒に連れて行ってくれました。

煌大はママから離れらず結局家でいることに・・・。

えみりはバックにお弁当などを詰めて嬉しそうにはりきって「楽しんでくるよー！」と元気に出かけていきました。

友達と一緒でよほど楽しかったらしく動物園から帰ってくると、またすぐに動物園に行こー！連れて行って、いつ行く？ってな感じでしつこくせがまれてます・・・。

I'm Cool !!

The other day Daniel told me that some boys in his class wore a sunglasses to school and he thought it was such a cool thing.
この間ダニエルが学校から帰ってくると、同じクラスの他の男の子が学校にサングラスをかけてきていて、とてもかっこよく見えたので自分も同じようにしたいと言いだしました。
So, he asked my permission to wear a sunglasses to go to school next day.
I said okay and he was so excited!!
何度も頼まれ、オーケーを出してあげました。もちろんダニエルは大喜びでした。
Next morning, his teacher(Mr.Abrams) saw Daniel and asked him that Are you a "Rock star?".
Daniel said "Yes!!" ( He was sooooooooo happy.)
次の朝担任の先生はダニエルを見て、「ロックスターですか？」と聞いたそうです。
ダニエルは嬉しく得意げに「そうです！」と言ったらしい。（さすがダニエル）

ダニエルの次のかっこよくオシャレにの段階はジャケットを着て、帽子をかぶり、サングラスをかけて学校に行くこと・・・・
and it came to pass His dream has come true on October 14th!!!
そして・・・・10月14日ダニエルの夢が叶う！
It was little bit chilly in the morning.

He thought he was coolest boy in his class.....

自分がクラスの中で一番かっこいい！と思っていたに違いない・・・

Bryan turned 30! on October 2nd.
We had a birthday dinner with his mom.



Daniel turned 6 years old on October 3rd.
He was so happy to have his birthday presents.

Saturday afternoon's Happenings

Our precious Princess, Emily went into the kids room and sat on Kota's bed where she cut her bangs very short.
She thought it was fashionable.....
えみりが密かに子供部屋に工作用のはさみを持ち込み、こうたのベッドの上で前髪をチョキッ！と切ってしまいました・・・。彼女自身はそれが可愛いと思ってしたことらしいのですが・・・・・・。


I evened her bangs but she didn't like it so she cried a little bit.
えみりの前髪をそろえてあげたのですが、彼女はどうも気に入らなかったらしく、泣いてしまいました。 不二家のペコちゃんみたいで「可愛いよ」と言ってあげると、ペコちゃんが何かも知らないのにちょっとにっこりしてくれました。でも、”ペコちゃん”に似てるでしょ？？

Emily's fairy tale with twist.
She can make up her own stories very well and she was telling one of her make up story with stuffed animal and cardboard house. But Kota wanted to join her story, so he was interrupting her.
えみりは自分でお話を考えるのが大好きで、この日もウサギのぬいぐるみと段ボール箱の家を使ってお話をしていました。こうたもこの時えみりのお話しに参加したかったらしく横から邪魔をし始めてしまいました。

Ground Breaking Ceremony

We had a "Ground breaking ceremony" for our stake center building.
It has been about a year since our church building was destroyed by a fire.
私たちの教会堂をこれから建設するに当たって「鍬入れ式」が行われました。
今から約１年ぐらい前に私たちが毎週集っていた教会堂は火事になり、燃えつくされてしまいました。
なので、それ以来べつのステークの教会堂を借りて集会をしています。

There was a pancake breakfast for all people who participated in ceremony. Kota ate at least 4 big pancakes.....which is surprised me a lot.

式に参加したすべての人に、パンケーキの朝ごはんが用意されていました。（アメリカでは朝ごはんにベーコンと卵とパン又はパンケーキやワッフル、といったものが一般的かな、あとはシリアルとか） 　コウタはパンケーキを４枚はペロリと食べてしまいました。私はあんまり食べないだろうなぁと思っていたのでちょとびっくりでした。

Three little Monkeys love to Dance!!

We were practicing a song for Primary Program this evening.

When we finshed practice a song then Daddy turned the keyboard on and played fun music for kids.

They like to dance to music very much, so they started dancing.

They dance like a monkeys in the Jungle.....I think it's cute but it was noisy.

Anyway, It was a fun sunday night.

１０月にあるプライマリーの聖餐会での発表にそなえて歌の練習をしました。

そして、歌の練習が終わるとダディーが子供たちのためにキーボードで楽しい音楽を流してくれました。

我が家の子供たちは音楽に合わせて踊るのが大好きで、音楽が流れ出すと自然と踊りだしました。

子供たちはジャングルの”おサルさん”のように踊っていました・・・それはそれで可愛いんだけど、結構うるさかったなぁ。

まぁ、なんだか楽しい日曜の夜でした。

Planting

We helped our neighbor to plant a flowers this afternoon.
Emily loved it .......until she gets hot and tired.
Emily's friend found worms and they tried to show it to Emily, but she was scared to get close to it.

友達と一緒に花を植えているえみり。

近所の友達が花を植えるということで、えみりも一緒にしませんか？というお誘いがありお手伝いさせてもらうことにしました。
えみりはとても喜んでやっていたのですが、だんだん暑くなり疲れてきたらしく途中でやめてしまいました・・・。
えみりの友達がミミズを見つけたので、手に乗せたミミズをえみりの近くに持ってきて見せようとしてくれていたのに、えみりは恐がって「ぃやー！」という様子でした。
えみり対ミミズ・・・・・・・・・・ミミズの勝ちー！
いい経験をさせてもらえてよかったなぁー今日は。
